How to Take a Rope Halter Off With a Bridle On
Whether you are hitting the trail or at the show grounds with a young horse, this tip is important so you never find yourself scrambling in that delicate time between taking the halter off and putting the bridle on. With this tip, you can leave your rope halter on, put your bridle on and then take your rope halter off so you never have to worry about your horse getting loose. If you don’t need this tip right now, I would save it to your phone because you may find yourself thinking, “How was I suppose to take it off again?”
Kytin Parasole Socks
This is probably my favorite purchase of 2023. I was trying to find slippers but my feet tend to get too warm in traditional slippers and they generally don’t support your feet very well. I know slippers seem unrelated to horses or equestrian sport but these are the perfect gift for anyone who is on their feet every day such as trainers or someone who works in the barn. These recovery socks have a molded foot bed that has the perfect arch support and they are super lightweight so after a long day on your feet in the barn, these make your feet feel like butter. I love the merino wool ones because they wick away moisture but they are also cozy soft too.
Hunter’s Bump
Hunter’s bump is something many horse people have heard of but do you know what it is? In this article, you will find reasons or causes for a hunter’s bump, treatment and prevention. I found this article interesting because it discusses the anatomy of the horse and why a hunter’s bump might be present but it in a way that is easy for the layman to understand. It is important to note that a hunter’s bump does not only affect hunter/jumper horses like some may misunderstand so even if you do not ride hunter/jumpers, this article is important to read so you can address a hunter’s bump if your horse started to develop one.
