Rent the Show Ring
Renting clothing has become a popular option for gowns, work clothes and any fashion needs you have in your day to day life. So why not rent clothing for the show ring? I discovered Rent the Show Ring on Instagram and was very excited to see renting available out in the horse world. Unfortunately, right now, they only stock hunter/jumper items but they have a plethora of kids items which is extremely beneficial for any parents not interested in purchasing full outfits for a child who may only wear it one year. And if you rent an item and fall in love, then you can purchase the item through Rent the Show Ring so you can keep it in your equestrian closet. I hope they expand to dressage clothing as well but I love what this company is doing and I am excited to see what their future in the horse world looks like.
Barn Walkthrough
I love this dreamy barn walkthrough. If this video was a screensaver on my TV and computer, I would be lulled into a luxurious daydream every time I saw it. I love the circular design of this barn and all the wonderful features it possesses. From the hanging blanket storage closet to the inset shelves in the grooming and wash bays, everything in this design is well thought out. Even if you’re not building a barn today, you should watch the walkthrough, you’ll enjoy it. Quinis Design Works clearly knows what they’re doing and knows what every horse girl wants in a dream barn.
Brush Blaster
If you’re anything like me, you feel conflicted about this time of year. Let me explain, I am so thrilled spring is on the way but I loath hair flying everywhere, wet mud, dried mud and dry skin from wearing a blanket all winter. Your brushes are going to need some TLC after the hard work they’re putting in this month. At the end of shedding season, heading into warmer months, I have a ritualistic routine of cleaning out my tack box and washing all of my brushes. I know we’re all in the thick of shedding season at the moment but you should start planning your spring cleaning day. My favorite way to clean my brushes is with a Brush Blaster. It’s a little block that you throw into a bucket of warm water with your brushes and once the water is done fizzing, you rinse and let dry! I prefer this method over using dish soap or other soaps because they require a lot more rinsing because of all of the suds and also my mare’s skin is way too sensitive to mess around with products not made for horses. You can find the Brush Blaster through the Virtue Soap Company website or many other retailers carry the Brush Blaster so if you have to buy other supplies heading into summer then add this to your cart right now!
