Biomechanics Base Layer

Symmetry in the saddle. Riders and trainers alike are focused on symmetry and balance and there are many tools and exercises to help achieve symmetry and this shirt is one of them. This shirt is designed to help with your biomechanics while riding but in my opinion it’s just as helpful off the horse too. This shirt allows your trainer to see where you are leaning, collapsing, etc but if you’re riding alone, you can quickly glance in the mirror and see where you are uneven as well. If your position and biomechanics are a priority in your lessons (which they should be) then this shirt is perfect for you. It comes from Australia but if you and your barn friends all want to order, it may be lucrative to combine your orders and split the shipping.

3-D Printed Horse Trailer

3-D printing is starting to take off, with more and more innovation every day but did you know someone is 3-D printing a horse trailer? The latest release from Double D Trailers is a 3-D printed horse trailer with dividers, windows, tack locker, ramps and the whole bit. 3-D printing boasts many benefits such as reducing carbon emissions, using recycled materials and more. This is a curious new age of manufacturing and I am extremely interested to see the first one of these horse trailers in person. Below you can find more information along with the video of the proposed trailer that will be printed.

Pretty Bank Barn

One of my favorite things to do is look at beautiful barns. Old ones, creative ones, modern ones, cozy ones, I love them all. And no, this is not going to turn into a Dr. Seuss poem. I found this barn on Instagram a long time ago but it is so cool, I continue to look at it from time to time. This barn is two stories, horses on both levels. How you ask? Maybe you guessed it but it’s a bank barn which is one of my favorite styles of barns. This barn is so cute and utilizes the two levels beautifully although I think I would get annoyed walking up the hill/tack room steps if I forgot something on a different level but either way, I love their use of space. The architecture and design are beautiful, not to mention the picturesque setting which of course is dreamy to look at considering our weather in Minnesota right now.

“In working with people and trying to help them with something, I find it isn’t easy for me to get them to work in the area where it seems they need to work. They keep trying to work at the end result.” -Tom Dorrance
