NoSo Patches
Many of us send our blankets off in the spring to be cleaned, repaired and waterproofed. After being laundered, they sit in their bags, perfectly manicured until we start to unwrap them in preparation for the blistery season ahead. But what happens if during the fall or winter months your horse rips their blanket? Do you have an easy way to repair the blanket without taking it home leaving them naked? Meet NoSo Patches; stick them on your blanket and heat with a hairdryer, home dryer or sunshine and voila, a fixed blanket in a flash. These patches also work well for your outerwear, camping gear or if you want to add a little flare to your attire as well. My plan is to purchase a few of the large patches and a few small ones and keep them on hand for any of those pesky mid season tears. They have tons of colors and designs so there is bound to be an option that you like and we all know with horses, if you are not prepared, they will find a way to teach you to become prepared.
Fall Equestrian Decor
Fall brings beautiful colors and the feeling of transition in the air and when you combine that with equestrian style, it makes for beautiful decor that I cannot get enough of this time of year. There are many ways to incorporate your equestrian style into your fall decor but if you’re not feeling the most creative, I am here to help! Below are a few ideas to inspire you and add a little horsey flair to your decor. Whether you ride western or english, these Pinterest ideas can inspire you but they are just that, ideas. You can find many of these styles for sale on Etsy but I find it more fun to put together equestrian pieces with things I already own so I can make it exactly how I want and create a unique work of art.

In Conversation with Dr Alberto Rullan
Many of us spend a good deal of time in the car everyday and in my mind, there is no better way to use that time than to listen to a podcast to expand your equestrian knowledge. Equitopia’s podcast, From The Horse’s Mouth, with Dr. Alberto Rullan was extremely fascinating and I have already listened to it twice since I originally stumbled upon it. Dr Alberto Rullan owns and operates a clinic in Ocala, Florida which provides many different methods and modalities to help horses but one of the most interesting modalities that Dr. Alberto uses is hyperbaric oxygen therapy which he discusses extensively during this conversation. In this episode he talks about his journey in veterinary care, modalities and ways to help horses as well as his perspective on maintaining a performance horse.
